The Northwest Community Band will hold an organizational meeting Sunday, July 18 at the First United Methodist Church in Azle. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss organizational structure, governing policies and leadership; a proposed rehearsal and concert schedule for 2010-11; and suggestions for recruiting and retaining members to strengthen the numbers and instrumental balance of the band.

About the Northwest Community Band

Organized June 1, 2006, the Northwest Community Band comprises approximately 50 musicians from north and west Fort Worth and surrounding communities in Tarrant, Parker and Wise counties. Membership is open to anyone with a desire to make music, and our roster includes business professionals, public servants, clergy and church staff members, school teachers and administrators, students, retirees and more.
